1. Definitions
In these Terms of Service (the Terms):
- JMF means the operator of the website located at https://www.jmf-plumbing.co.uk (the Site).
- Site means the publicly available website at the above address and any content, features, or services offered through it.
- User, you, and your mean any person or entity that accesses, browses, or uses the Site.
- Content means any text, images, graphics, logos, audio, video, data, software, or materials available on or through the Site.
- Services means the plumbing, heating, and related services described on the Site that may be offered by or through JMF offline or following an enquiry made on the Site.
- UK GDPR means the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulation, as incorporated into UK law, together with the Data Protection Act 2018.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site. 5. Quotes, Enquiries, and Bookings
The Site may allow you to submit enquiries or request callbacks or quotes. Any prices, time estimates, availability statements, or descriptions provided via the Site are indicative and subject to survey, parts availability, and written confirmation. No binding contract for Services is formed until JMF confirms acceptance in writing or commences performance of the Services, as applicable. Separate terms may apply to any Services and will be provided or agreed at the time of booking or instruction.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Site and the Content (including text, graphics, photographs, logos, icons, layout, and design) are owned by or licensed to JMF and are protected by copyright, trade mark, database right, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
You may view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not:

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These are provided for your information only. JMF has no control over the contents of those sites or resources and accepts no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits JMF’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
If you are a consumer user:
- JMF is responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by JMF. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both JMF and you knew it might happen.
- JMF is not liable for business losses. If you use the Site for any commercial or business purpose, JMF will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
- Your statutory rights are not affected, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If you are a business user, and subject to the first paragraph of this section:
- all implied terms, conditions, and warranties are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law;
- JMF will not be liable for any loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill, or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage; and
- JMF’s total liability to you arising under or in connection with these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall be limited to £100.
11. Personal Data and Cookies
JMF is the controller of personal data processed via the Site. JMF will process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, for purposes including responding to enquiries, managing bookings, improving the Site, ensuring security, and complying with legal obligations. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will cease, but the following sections will continue in force: Intellectual Property, Warranties and Disclaimers, Liability, Personal Data and Cookies, Applicable Law and Jurisdiction, and General.
15. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms, their subject matter, and their formation are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction or in England and Wales. If you are a business user, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. General
- Entire agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and JMF in relation to your use of the Site.
- Severance: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- No waiver: A failure or delay by JMF to exercise any right or remedy provided under these Terms or by law shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.
- Assignment: JMF may transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without JMF’s prior written consent.
- Third-party rights: No person other than you and JMF has any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these Terms.
- Events beyond control: JMF will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing any obligation under these Terms where such failure or delay results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond its reasonable control.
- Interpretation: In these Terms, the words “including” and “include” are deemed to be followed by “without limitation”. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
